A Gratifying Evening At The Theater, For The Kalmensons 

 

Both Cathy and da harv can say unequivocally "We both love Lucy"; that would be Lucy, as in Lucille Ball . What better way to top off an already splendid Thanksgiving weekend, than a marvelous experience at the theater; that would be live, as in live theater?

The Sunday evening event culminated a pleasurable visit from Cathy's Mom, in from Chicago. The three of us were treated to smiles of joy brought out by style and charm from as talented group of young players one might expect in this whirlwind competitively driven world of Hollywood; that would be wonderful as opposed to weird.

The writing, music, direction, and above all the talent left us beaming with delight at the final curtain. The three of us waited in the lobby so we could personally congratulate the cast of players on a job well done. Little did we realize the extremely warm welcome we were about to receive in return!

When Cathy asked me the usual question: "How many of the actors and actresses I recognized", I responded, I thought there were probably two who had been in to audition for me; was I in for a pleasant surprise. Of the fifteen cast members, nine of them had either been cast, auditioned, or had studied with and at Kalmenson & Kalmenson. Cathy and I were seriously, and emotionally moved with gratification over the kind words expressed by this group of stalwart players.

If you're in the market for ninety minutes of smiles, and the continued after taste of an evening well spent, we heartily recommend "I Love Lucy"! --HK
