Artful Expression for a Good Cause

It was an afternoon of "creativity." Cathy and Harvey Kalmenson attended the creativeLA Art Show on Sunday, June 26, at Bergamot Station, in Santa Monica. The proceeds from the event, were donated to Ad Relief of Los Angeles (formerly AIEF), Multicultural Advertising Training Program (MAT), and Light Bringer Project/L.A. Futures Academy.

The partners enjoyed viewing a variety of visual art presented in mediums ranging from paintings, to watercolors, to sculptures, and even some slightly indefinable media. The intriguing driving force: offbeat and thought provoking. And then there was the fun in the free photo booth (see photo above).

Matthew Brandon, of the James Gray Gallery, was a delightful, and informative gallery host, engaging Cathy and Harvey in a conversation about artists he features.

ThinkLA presented the event, sponsored by Furlined, eliasarts, Town Hall.

Gallery sponsors: deviantART, Nomad, Team One, thegarygroup.

A great day for charity!
