"Hits, Misses, & Looking Forward" was the theme of this panel discussion of industry leaders.
Cathy Kalmenson was thrilled to hear words of wisdom and inspiration, delivered in the Austin Texas, tell-it-like-it-is style of Roy Spence, Co-Founder and Chairman of "GSD&M idea city." K&K has cast many voices for long time client GSD&M for a variety of prestigious accounts over the years, ranging from Ace Hardware to BMW.
Cathy walked away with some bottom-line ideas that were shared by the panel: TV is alive, kicking, and growing. Look for experimentation with commercial formats and sponsorships outside of the :30 standard. No more "think TV." It will be "think screens." Word is that, in the future, all media formats will be woven together. Harmony, not competition a mix.
It will be: think "screens." Not "or," but "and" when it comes to the fact that media formats will be woven together. Harmony, not competition... a mix.
On-demand will be the way. Interaction (interactive with consumers) will be on the rise.
"Whole-istic" communication technology... no silos.
