VOICE OVER WORKSHOP
Pre-requisites:
This level of study is formatted for working voice over professionals only, to take your voice over career to the next level, with an emphasis toward the following goals:
To
learn the Kalmenson Method - a simple, yet powerful focus tool for
voice over copy that allows the actor to see themselves in any given
script and to find your own "truth" in voice over.
To
become highly proficient and empowered in efficient copy analysis
using the Kalmenson Method.*
To
create, modify, or expand your "signature" in voice over. Get on your
game for your next demo tape.
To
study current prototypes, trends, and cutting edge winning formulas,
translating trends into the actors own truth.
To
experiment with new or different approaches - complete with feedback
on creating marketable packaging of the interpretation.
To
gain a better understanding of the casting system at Kalmenson &
Kalmenson.
To
get to know our casting directors and them to know you.
To
overcome a "block" or dry spell and "get it in one take" (not on the
way home).
To
workout at a challenging high level with other pros and respond to
individual copy challenges chosen specifically for each
actor.
To
grow beyond your current comfort zone.
Students: Maximum of 10 students.
Cycles: 6 consecutive Tuesdays (Closed Holidays)
Evening classes: 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm (a total of 18 hours)
Tuition: Each cycle is $670.00 (Prices subject to change. Please call to verify.)
Deposit: Our receipt of a non-refundable $175.00 deposit is the only guarantee for a place in class.
No class make-ups or refunds for missed classes.
Location: 105 South Sparks St. (Burbank, California) MAP
Materials: Bring 1 (one) blank 90 minute cassette tape and a pen. All other materials are provided.
